Shaun, I don't see a connection in one of the genealogies on the Graves Family Association website, although you are almost certainly connected to one of the many genealogies there. However, there is a family tree on Ancestry.com that takes your ancestry back to Joseph Greaves, b. 1693, who married Ann Grey (apparently submitted by Alan Williams). Take a look at the GFA website at www.gravesfa.org and send me an email from there, and I may be able to help more.

I wonder if anyone can help...and hope I'm in the right place to post.

I am looking for information on ERNEST GREAVES b.1888, marr. 1912 St James Church, Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, England, d. 1965 Barrow. He married an Annie Williams b.1894, d 1977 (both Barrow).

I have no information of his parents or grandparents...so my family tree branch just ends at the moment.

Thanks. Shaun Tooze  (stooze@gmail.com)

Hello
I am looking for the Baptism of my GG Grandmother SARAH ANNE GREAVES. She was born about 1821 in LIMEHURST, OLDHAM, LANCASHIRE, ENGLAND.
Her father was RICHARD GREAVES who was a Glassblower in 1841 and a Baker in 1846.
SARAH ANNE GREAVES first married HENRY LOWDEN FOWLER in 1840 in St Michael's Ashton-under-Lyne and was living in Charlestown, Glossop, Derbyshire in 1841.
I think Sarah and Henry must have separated as in 1843 she was living at Howard Court, Ashton-under-Lyne with THOMAS HAGUE when first daughter ALICE ANN HAGUE was born.
Henry Lowden Fowler died in January 1846 and SARAH ANNE then married THOMAS HAGUE in August 1846 and lived at Howard Court, Ashton-under-Lyne
SARAH ANNE HAGUE (nee Greaves) died in 1870.
I have located her on all Census and have her Marriage and Death Certificates but just cannot find her Baptism.
Thanks

John Graves (1657/8-1702) and Susannah Webster are my 10th great-grandparents. I've been using the gravesfa.org site to help build the Graves side of the family, although I have not gotten too far (where does the time go??). Hope to find some great information through this group and meet new cousins!
