I believe I contributed that information. As I said,it hasn't been proved. Betsy is buried in the Pooler Graveyard in Skowhegan as is William Merril Graves who may be Betsey's brother b.1821. If the dates are correct, Betsy Graves b. 1830 would mewn that her possible mother would have been 47 at the time of Betsey's birth. My sister and I have thought that Betsey could possibly be the illegitimate child of one of her sisters. I have found no birth, baptism, or other record while the rest of the children of William and Betsey are all accounted for.

Have you seen the genealogy for William Graves & Betsey Holt at Graves Family Association? http://www.gravesfa.org/gen826.htm

My Graves ancestors come from Maine. I have been trying to find the parents of Betsey Graves born 1830 in Skowhegan, Maine. All clues point to William and Betsey Graves but I have no proof.

Hi! I'm Karen Seeman, a descendant of John and (Joyce) Elizabeth Graves through their son William.
