I don't really know where to start here, but I am looking for info on the Burton family from Chicago. My father was Thomas L. Burton. As far as I know our part of the Burton family was from Whales, but I don't know where?

I am looking for information on William Burton or Burton family history from Accomack County Virginia U.S.A. Would like to trace Burton roots back to England, Ireland, Wales, and surrounding towns,as the Burton family was granted land on The Eastern Shore by the King of England. Land is in Wachapreague area on Nicowampus Creek.

Sometime in the early 1700s, William Frayser, immigrant from Scotland, possible Quaker, married Hannah Jackson of Virginia and settled in Henrico County. Their son, William Frayser, married Martha Burton, still in Henrico County. The Fraysers are pretty well documented, but not their wives. I would like to find the family of this Martha Burton of Virginia, and would be grateful for any information, please.
Thank you,
Anna
