Delaney Dodson (D D) Vaden and Mickey Austin Blankinship - Chesterfield County, VA

My wife's line traces back to:

Delaney Dodson (D D) Vaden (b. 1801 VA, d. 1858 TN). It appears that he was born in Henrico or Chesterfield County. D D married MIckey Austin Blankenship (b. abt 1803, died bet 1850 and 1854), 1822 Chesterfield Co. Mickey is the daughter of Stanton Blankenship (b. abt 1770) and Susannah Perdue (b. abt 1775).

D D and family are in Dyer Co, TN by 1834 where Mary Jane is born and in Gibson Co, Tn by 1840 (census). D D and Mickey both died in Gibson Co.

Children:
Richard S - married Cynthia J Boon
Martha S - married Albert W Bledsoe
Elizabeth Ann (also listed as Ann Elizabeth, Ann, or Annie) - married John W Blankenship
Dorothy Frances - married Alexander Mobley
Mary Jane - marred Samuel Hall Jones
Hannah W - married Thomas J Hailey
Henrietta A - married John E Gleason
Henry C - married 1) Louiza J Hailey (Thomas' sister), 2) Eliza E Woodrum
Matilda E - married George E Moore
Joseph Lock - married Mary P McLeary
Robert Wylie - married 1) Eugenia Gaines, 2) Mary Ann Motley (our line)

These are two of my roadblocks.

I would like to find the parents of D D Vaden, Stanton Blankenship, and Susannah Perdue.

More information can be found at Mickey Austin Blankenship

Hi, Charlie
Welcome to the Blankenship Group. Will be exciting to see this group grow as more members join. Looking at the names given, I'd say Dodson and Lock may be leads on ancestor surnames. Unfortunately, you back in the era where the Census Records aren't much help in establishing parents.
Thanks, Carla

D D had a son named Joseph Lock. Joseph the Lock through to his son and it passed to a grandson. I think that is about far as it went.

Hopefully, with this Blankenship group and my Vaden group plus my website, I will eventually break down this roadblock.

Above statement should read:

D D had a son named Joseph Lock. Joseph passed the Lock name through to his son and it passed to a grandson. I think that is about far as it went.
