I am from the John Barnett who is the father of Mahala Barnett married to Daniel Cox.  I have information from Daniel on to my dad Early Cox.  Now since I came on here I am learning more and more about John Barnett.

Hi all,

Just an update on my search for Richard Barnett. I have now received Richard's death certificate showing his dob as Aug 12, 1844 in Charlestown, Massachusetts
His parents names were listed as William Barnett and Ann Unknown. Place of their birth unknown. Gained a small piece of information. What I need to know is where William was born. Any help appreciated.

Go to the Massachusetts' State site on line and look for vital records. There will be an index. If you find your ancestors listed, write to
Jennifer.Fauxsmith@state.ma.us
I was wrong before, a copy of the record is $.50 each and it is on the honor system.

Hi Jen,
I just learned that Massachusetts has an index of births and marriages. I was researching another branch of my family as my Barnetts lived in Georgia via South Carolina. If you find a listing that you think might be your Barnetts, I have an email address to write for a copy of the document at $3.00 each. They will send you the certificate on an honor system and you are to mail them a check for the amount. I hope you find your ancestors this way.

Hi to all,

I am trying to find further information on :Richard Barnett b. Aug 1844, in Massachusetts. I have a lot on him from when he first appears of age in the census living in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. I have not been able to locate him in Massachusetts with his parents as the censuses do not give names of children back that far. I have tried immigration records, ancestry world, Family search gives a Richard Barnett b. Provincetown, Barnstable Massachusetts, with a different dob. 1846. Still no parents listed. Does anyone have an idea how I can further persue this search.I do know he married Lucinda J Campbell, had two daughters and ran a large grocery store in Woonsocket, RI. He died in 1929.

y Great great Grandfather was Thomas Barnett boem England In 1799 Died Niagara Falls Ontario in 1890, He started the Niagara Falls Museum, His son was Sidney Barnett Born 1869 Died 1925 In Niagara Falls, His wide Annie Kerr Moran Born 1842 died 1914

News Flash , I have broken through the brick wall on Jane Swain married to Robert Barnett, Hilperton, Wiltshire, England in 1813. With a lot of help I have found the information I was searching for. Never give up, I had been looking for over 10years and was giving it one more run. One e-mail with a place of birth gave me the clue I was searching for. It feels so great to add another piece to the tapestry.

My name is Jen Barnett. I live in RI, USA. I have traced husband's line back to Hilperton, Wiltshire, England. Robert Barnett b.1791 Steeple Aston, Wiltshire
m: Jane Swain on June 06, 1813 source Wiltshire Records research in Chippenham. They had 3 sons Mark Luke and Giles and a daughter Jane Barnett Allen. Robert Had a brother James b. 1793 Steeple Ashton. I have all their information I need to find the parents of Robert and James and also find anything on the Swain/Swayn family in that time period.

Gwen, my James Barnett supposedly born in Virginia died in Caldwell County, KY. I know that James was a very popular name with so many families!
