I live within a twenty minute drive of Dahlonega. The library there has an awesome genealogy section. Unfortunately, I have scrolled through hours worth of microfilm and can find nothing. I have done the same at the Hall county and Habersham county libraries. All I have accomplished was tired eyes LOL. I have searched Ancestry, but not recently. After hours an hours of research all I was able to find were the 2 deeds I mentioned in my earlier post. I did find one other small fact, I found 3 siblings ( at least I think they are) to Harriet listed on the school poor rolls. But, there was still no information on her parents.the boundaries of Hall, White, Lumpkin and Habersham changed frequently so I am searching in all 4 counties. These Hinkles were certainly an elusive bunch! I am going to have to look for the Henkle book. Maybe it will hold the one clue I nee to get past this brick wall.

Hi Dawn!

Did you have any of that information? Do you know there is a Henckle Book?I belive it's on Ancestry but I don't have access to it. You might check at your local library. They usually have a subscription to Ancestry for the public to use. Also, I would also check with the Public Library in Lumpkin Co.,GA. to see if they have any information on your family lines. Another thing I would do would be write a Letter to the Editor to the main newspaper in Lumpkin Co.,GA. looking for relatives who still live in the area.I've had success with that method in the past myself. Good Luck!
