I thought it might be easier to start a discussion here about the book I have. This way, people can leave their requests for lookups in one place and it will be easier for me to find them.
The book I have is The Cox Family in America by Rev. Henry Miller Cox and was published in 1912. So if you are looking for anyone after the very early 1900's, it will not be in here.

Are these people in the book?

Nannie Cox, born about 1873 in Tennessee

Thomas Cox, born about 1874 in Tennessee

Willie Cox, born about 1877 in Tennessee

Nellie Cox, born about 1878 in Tennessee

Their parents were John Cox (born in England, died before the 1880 census) and Mary (maiden name unknown; her first husband's surname was Dyer), born about 1838-1842 in Ireland. The family lived in Nashville, Davidson, Tennessee.
I have a hunch that Thomas Cox was the father of John B. Cox who was my Great Great Grandfather and he was born in Tennessee, I found reference to them in a book named "The OverMountain Men"
but they might have been some other kind of kin.. I think John was born before 1874.. John and Thomas are such common names you find many of them..
Hi Nancy, I'm wondering if Joseph Cox, his wife Nancy Salladas Cox are in the book? Joseph was born circa 1838 in Lycoming County, PA. They had 6 or 7 children. Thank you. :)
Kate, There are quite a few Josephs in the Cox book. I found one that might be the one you are looking for. The entry is for Judge Joseph Cox, born in 1822 in Chambersburg, PA. He died in 1900. It does not say who he married.
Hi Nancy-

Our Joseph Cox was on the 1910 census in Lycoming county, PA, he was a farmer.

thank you for checking! :)

Hi Nancy, I wrote yesterday but maybe did not post it in the right place. I did not see this then. I am looking for the parents of William Cox b. 1804 VA or NC and then possibly living in TN. I am wondering if he might have been born in the area where VA, NC and TN all come together and that is also originally Cherokee Territory. I am thinking that his Mother is Native American. I find him in Sangamon County, ILL in the mid 1820's. He marries Jane Hohimer in 1829 and then they move to Southern MO and he dies in 1871 there. Does your book go back that far or cover that area? Thanks for any help you are willing to give me. Debra
Debra,
I found both your notes. Sorry I did not get back to you right away. You are correct that there are lots of Williams. I did fond one William who was born in NC but moved to Indiana in 1868. There are no other dates or spouse name. The list of children does not include a Henry, but there is a Henrietta. I did not see your other note while I was search so I had not looked for the name Henry Cox, but I will.
Nancy.........My Great Grandmother was Elizabeth Cox. She was born in 1846 and married Caleb Bobbitt in 1860 in Pulaski County, Kentucky. I think her father is William or Franklin William Cox, but have never been able to prove that. I wonder if she is in your book?

I would appreciate any information you can give me,

Jan Haynes
My history is that my grandmother on my dads side was Frances Cox. She was the daughter of Rev. Henry Miller Cox. She married Frederick Cherry. Oh, and she was born 2/2/1889. Who was the rev descended from?
Would there be any information available on a Jane Cox or Harriet Cox, born somewhere in Bath, New Brunswick, Canada around 1851? She married Timothy Lynch before she died in 1880. One of their daughters, Elizabeth Harriet Lynch, b. 1878 in Bath, NB, married John C. Pegram (b. 1870 in Providence, RI) in February 1899 (and on down 3 more generation to me). I can't find anything for the parents of Jane (Harriet) Cox or anything else.

Anyone have any information that can help?

Thanks in advance.
Ok, so some more digging and I found the following:

My great-great-grandmother Harriet Jane Cox, who was born in Bath, New Brunswick, Canada (b. 1851, d. 1880), was the granddaughter of John Cox, who was born in West Jersey, New Jersey in 1756, and he moved to New Brunswick in 1783 as a loyalist to the British crown (as did so many other loyalists at that time). Would anyone here know of any further ancestry to John Cox?
I am looking for any information on Demsey (or Dempsey) Cox, b Cork, Ireland abt 1775; he shows up on North Carolina tax rolls in 1790 (so I've been told); m Hannah L. Cartwright b abt 1770 North Carolina. Both are buried in North Carolina. They had one child, Thomas, b 1799 North Carolina; d Tennessee and buried in Mississippi. I have the information from Demsey down to the present but names only for Demsey and Hannah. Do these names look familiar?
