I would like to start a new thread about hints and tips for Legacy users.

To begin can I suggest the following as a good time saver...

In the "Individual's Information" screen try left clicking on the "in" label before the location field where you normally type the location of a birth, christening, death or burial. This left click will actually fill the field with the last information typed into a previous persons record. Useful when working with a family group that all share the same location.

In addition, a right click at the same spot will produce a pop-up selection box with the last 9 or 10 entries allowing you to select any entry to fill the field.

Does anybody have any other good ideas, hints, tips, time savers?

Thank you thats a great tip I didnt know about
Did you know that when you left click the colored area to the left of the husband or right of the wife you can scroll through other spouses? When you click the area between the husband and wife you can scroll through the siblings of the highlighted person.

I knew about the one to scroll through multiple spouses and use it quite often but I didn't know about clicking in the centre, between the husband and wife to cycle through the siblings, that could come in handy.

I wish I had known about this one sooner:

Once you've entered an event once, you can use the copy button on the event screen to add the info onto the clipboard. Then you can add the same event, source included, to other individuals or marriages just by opening a blank event and clicking on the paste button on the event screen. This is great for things like census records for families with 20 children.

Also, the event clipboard is separate from the "regular" clipboard. So you can cut and paste other things & it won't overwrite your event clipboard.
