Live in Dover!! Wow, that is where the 200th Anniversary Reunion was held in 1910. Trolley cars from downtown York took over 1000 to Brookside Park where they spent the day listening to various presentations, etc. with one of the local churches fixing the noon meal for them. We just celebrated the 300th Anniversary in York back in June.

Are you saying you are part of the Loucks family? If so, I wish you would have attended the 300th Anniversary Reunion that took place in York June 24-27 of this year. The next one is being planned for 2012, again in York.

You are a blue blood compared to me. I am not a descendant of Irish immigrants in the classical sense. It was my mother and some of her siblings who emigrated to here from Ireland. I am not aware of the descendants of other family members in the US, unless unexplained matches through family DNA count. So I don't know about anybody in this country. Sorry!

No unfortunately don't think so. I am a Mader by marriage and my husbands parents came over here from Germany and settled into Cincinnati, Ohio.
Hey, Jim. I'd love to participate in (or at least lurk, since maybe I don't have much to add, but do have a lot to learn!) almost all of the forums--they sound so interesting. How do I do that?
Jim, I'm sorry if my post came off in a wrong manner. I wasn't aggravated that there was such a chat, just that MY timing was such that I always seemed to have time when it was going on and not for any other chat scheduled LOL! Bad timing seems to be a hereditary thing in my family ;D It wasn't meant to be personal and I didn't mean to demean it, though it probably did come out that way. Again, I'm sorry and I do hope that all goes well for you in Gettysburg. May have to bring out the family for a tour :)
Jim,
Sorry for the late reply on the Darling family. I am doing double Darling research. I am researching the Vermont Darlings as well as the Mendon, MA Darlings. Where did you see the Vermont Darling tombstone photos? I would be curious to find out if or how the Dennis Darling branch from Braintree, MA and the Edward Darling (Vermont) branches are related.
Thanks for your note about Henry Hagaman, I don't have a clue, probably a long distant cousin. I'd be curious about the talk you gave and the story of his strange encounter in Maine.
Thank you for your note. I actually did chat, "Windsor Twp," & in the chat, I also offered you a reward for some good Sala images. But it was surely lost in the bizarre & offensive melee' that ensued over my having sincerely offered my 3-decades of expert help for no cost. I cannot & will not apologize for what I do for a living; nor will I apologize for my high success ratio. One of the leaders of FamilyLink.com is one of my former bosses at Ancestry.com. He wrote me one of the 45+ endearing endorsements on Linkedin.com! However, I will not return to that chat room. Now, then, I see you have much Germanic ancestry. I offer one complimentary consultation. For Fae, I found numerous census records, i.e. every one back to 1880! These show much new data for her, but I have anxieties about telling her. She has not emailed me. Please email karlmsala@msn.com GermanGenealogist.com

Thanks, Jim! I see you are a Golden owner too! This one is now almost six - such a sweetie. I guess I should change the picture. This one is from the very beginning of this site, I believe!!
Hi Jim - My Snook ancestor (4th gr-grandmother) is Nancy, dau of John and Hannah Coolback. Nancy m 15 Feb 1816 Eli Sutton in Warren County Ohio. She d 4 Nov 1888 and is buried in Hamilton County Ohio.
According to the census, James was born in Virginia, had 5 children in Tennessee before 1850, and had more children in Missouri before 1860. I have no information after the 1860 Census. There are a zillion James West so Birthdate & VA. is key. Thank you for your interest.
Greetings! I just found your comment. Sorry I'm so late to reply. My Ayers and Blodgett are ancestors from way back. If there's a connection, it would be way down the line which I haven't followed.

For some reason, I was having problems reading the posts, so came back today.
