Thank you so much. As far as I've found the Olds and Loveland families seem to have stayed in Norwich till they left VT. Would you like me to send some of my other Norwich (and nearby) families?

I grew up in a small town about an hour away from where you were. Harrisburg was a trip to the big city for me. :-)

Hi Jim, Thank you so much for the offer. There is a good chance that I would be related to any Loveland or Olds (it is a plural last name) in the cemeteries as they seem to have all been related. I can send you the details of other families I have been researching as well if you would like. Thanks again!

That's funny about procrasting! I know the feeling as evidenced by the piles of info on my own genealogy that my family hears about but has yet to see published! I'm glad Henniker has a historical society. I have to confess I was last there in 1979 and, as I said, not much interested in history then. People do change!

Hi! I'm related to HARDY's of Cape Cod, but am wondering if you are in the Henniker, NH area. I went to college there, and there is a wonderful b&b there called the Colby Hill Inn. I was not into genealogy during the time I was there, but do know the owners named the inn for the geographic area, which implies it was a big name in the town. NEHGS (New England Genealogical and Historic Society www.newenglandancestors.org) in Boston might be a good place to research, if you're not already a member. I do not recall every having heard of a historic or genealogical society in Henniker. Of course, it was quite a while ago that I was there, so things could have changed.
