Hi, Kathleen, I am also researching the Carpenter/Zimmerman line of Pennsylvania, particularly, George Zimmerman and his sister, Anna Catharina (Catrina), children of Michael, who had land in Carroll's Delight, Adams County. I would appreciate your contacting me. Kate, Baltimore, MD
I am searching for the Parents of John Charles Sutton, born 1851 in Mississippi. I have found him on Mississippi census records and his marriage in MS in 1870 but all these are after he left home. He should appear on the 1860 MS census as 9 years of age but I have been unable to locate him. He married Mary Walker. He died at Longtown, MS in 1890. I have info on the family from John onward. He was my ggf. I am sure he was a poor sharecropper so the 1860 census taker may have declined to ride his horse to the home. Any help greatly appreciated. I will be glad to share Sutton info with you.
Greetings All

About a year ago I had come across a website/blog/site/group... - I don't know, that contained vintage photographs of Biloxi and Gulfport Mississippi homes on the Gulf Coast and area. It was a private site, not one where you purchase the photos/copies. I can not for my life find it again!
I am wondering if you have seen this site? - old B&W photos of the homes and the general area, roads, gardens..ect.
I would appreciate any assistance in this, direction...have you seen/come across this or know of anyone I can contact. Very possible it is not longer in existence.
Regards
Ghita
Hi Kathleen - Do any of your Zimmermans connect with Wolford's ? My 5th gr grandfather was Johannes Wolford (various spellings) married to an Anna Maia Agatha possibly Zimmerman. His dates ca 1694 to 1751/52. Their son George of Lancaster Co PA 1726-1794 was also married to a Zimmerman ( can't think of her name)
Welcome to Mississippi Memories! I am a member of your group, Mississippi Roots, and I hope that all of our MS researchers will join one or both of our groups.
With the Case or Smith in your background, we probably do cross paths somewhere. I noticed on your site that you are researching the Minyard surname. I think I left that one off mine but my Great-Great Grandmother was Elizabeth Minyard(B. 09/12/1829, Copiah County, MS-D.06/04.1889, Lincoln County, MS. Buried at Little Bahalia Baptist Church. I have never been able to find information on her family. My Great Grandmother was Nancy Catherine Case(B.01/23/1857-D.02/15/1893, Lincoln County, Ms. Daughter of M. Patterson & Susanah Melinda Anding Case. Do any of these ring a bell?

Hi Kathleen, I am searching for my family roots under my maiden name "Gaskill". They orginally came from New York and many moved to Michigan. Please let me know if you know of any relations.
