New Finds via Face Book Secrect Group
Quick up date, we have started sharing some information now in the FB group and one of our family members has a few documents that I did not have that she scanned and posted there. Now I can take those and blow them up and print them out for hard copies. Since they are marriage, death and birth records this is kind of major scoring. So taking the FB challenge to another level paid off for our research in this since. Sharing the information though digital images might not be as fun for some as collecting all those copies (and paying for them) might be but sharing them rather than having member after member collecting them over and over again might be just as good for some of you.
Mean while we have also passed some pictures back and forth and I added another well known family historian to our little group. This might be very exciting as long as we keep it small and simple.

Thank you Katie. It is kind of a long shot for some families I know but if you can find one or two other people who are really into sharing their information then you got a good start. In our family it is like one in one hundred or so maybe that will be willing to share much or remembers much for that matter. You just have to hit gold when you can find it but do not give up. It took me years to locate my Bio Family and many more years (14 actually) to find a handful willing to really work at sharing information.
