Introduction of Myself

My name is Julia Quicksall (Born Harlemert).  I am 55 years old, married, have 3 children and 3 grandchildren.  I am a newbie to genealogy.  I started working on my adoptive family history about a month to two months ago.  I am learning a lot about genealogy, and know that there is much more to learn.  I am open to all suggestions that may help me find my adoptive family's ancestors, stories about them, obituaries, etc.  At this time I am working mostly on records that I can find for free, as I am a homemaker and wife without any real money of my own; and as I am the only one in the family that is interested in what I am finding, until I can find a way to raise some money to join any of the genealogy sites as a paid member, I am looking for ways to find records, etc. that are free.  As I am adopted, I am also interested in finding my birth parents, and any birth siblings, etc.  However, I have no information at all on them, including any names, etc., so if anyone would have any ideas on this, I would love to here them.  Have a Great Night, and May God Bless All.
