Would anyone know where "Beryer, Wales" is? This is the birthplace given by my great great Robert Lloyd on the 1851 census. He was a servant for the Weldon family in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England. As I have been unable to find it in any gazeteer I feel that the spelling was corrupted by accent and/or illiteracy on behalf of Robert. He was born about 1793 and married Elizabeth Phipps in 1814 in England. Any ideas as to what area or townland he was born in would be most
appreciated.
