Sorry it has taken so long for me to get back to you, Susan. Your note got pushed further and further down into my mailbox! My ancestor, Santafee Henderson Gailey, was in Habersham Co., Georgia in the mid-1800s. Habersham and Hall Co. Georgia were formed from land ceded from Cherokee Indians. My Gailey ancestors came from either of those 2 counties. Santafee was born in SC. Santafee's father's name was Ezekial, his father was Joseph, and his father was James.
