Great to hear from you. What a surprise! ( I just got into this as well last year) I will have to review my findings since reading what you wrote. I had Gerhard Heinrich Vallowe listed as my g-g-grandfather, but in checking again I think he was Georg Heinrich Vallowe who married Margaret Baxmire. Johanna was a cousin to my g-grandfather. We called her Aunt Johanna when I was a kid and we would see the Slater family mostly at funerals (their business) I do know that she visited Venne or family from Venne visited her here in the US.I have a picture of her that I obtained from a Vallowe family in Venne (dated 1977 at age 101), who sent their family tree. when i wrote back to them (at least 5 times) i never heard from them via email or post again. if you want to sent me your email address (Mine-wvallowe@gmail,com) I can send that information to you. At that time i will explain a little deeper why i have to re-research. Have you read Venne in America by Udo Theoner?
