For what reason did you start genealogy research?

I'm a late discovery adoptee, and I started my research to find out more about my maternal line (I know my birth mother's identity). Recently I became interested in exploring my still-uncertain paternity. Also, after taking a 23andMe test a few years ago for health info, I found myself more and more interested in DNA for genealogical research. The science is fascinating, and we're learning more every day, it seems.
