I am a second great grand-daughter of Janet Ramsay, daughter of James Ramsay and Isabella McCulloch of Ayrshire, Scotland. Janet's youngest son, David Melville was my great grandfather. David's son, James Melville (1900-) was my maternal grandfather. James' second daughter, Elizabeth Lorraine Humay nee Fletcher was my mother.

What countries and other locations are you interested in researching?

Scotland, Australia, Argentina, USA, Belgium, Scandinavia, Ireland, England, Slovakia, Canada - wherever family emmigrated to.

What is your level of genealogy knowledge?

For what reason did you start genealogy research?

Members of my maternal family legally kidnapped my son. I decided to look for other family as I didn't wish to suffer abuse at the hands of immediate family any longer.

FOREIGN LANGUAGES
I also know french, some German, some Spanish and am going to commence A2 Slovak this September. I would like to learn Lowland Scots, Irish (focusing on Westmeath) and other languages of my ancestry.
