Hi Lois,

Did your 3rd Grandfather James Bowen also marry a (possibly a Nancy)  Kemper in addition to a Poole?

If so we are closely related. This James Bowen was father to my Great Grandmother Eliza Anna Bowen - she married William Lewis Reese, my Great Grandfather.  Do you know who James H Bowen's father was? Was it a Joseph?  I am very interested as I have been musing over exactly who he was for months now. What would you know of James's Father if you have anythin sources that it?

Thanks a Million-

Deb

Hello, thanks for commenting. I almost thought this site participation for me was useless! So it is nice to hear from someone. From your comments I and excited to thhink that maybe we are part of the same family ancestry. I would love to see the your photos of James and William Henry you spoke of . I will also email you directly and hope you have not given up on any response from me!  Many of my most recent ancestors came from Lower Mo - the mid-went in general.

Several months ago I was working hard to find some Bowen connections that may be linked with no success, so I am thrilled to hear from you.  My Great Grandmother was Eliza Anna Bowen married to William Lewis Reese.

Hi Lois,
James Bowen (1797 - 1880)
is my 2nd great grandfather and

I have a tree on Ancestry.  I have come across Reese Bowen numerous times. I have puzzle pieces but have not been able to fit all of them together yet with my actual Reese Bowen connection.
Your knowledge of the family members could prove very helpful to me.
Do you have a tree posted online?

Hi Lois, My Great Grandfather was a William Lewis (or Louis?) Reese (Or Reece?) born 1833 and he married an Eliza/Elizabeth Anna Bowen. They had reportedly 12 Children one wasmy Grandpa Joseph Gideon Reese. Their family was located in first in W Va and into lower Ohio just across the river from W Virginia. William Lewis Reeses father was a Henry and Henry's father was a William who died youg by falling log leaving son Henry and mother. All these around Ohio as mentioned. There is much mystery surrounding these 4-5 generations from me. I NEED to locate Elizabeth Anna Bowens folks and family to make inquiries. Sound familiar at all?Let me know and please pass the word of my inquiries along to others. Thanks Deb   DLReese
