Prussian/Jewish ancestry

Anyone here looking for ancestors in Prussia? obviously, its highly doubtful any vital records survive, but there may be other records someone has found with names in it at least! I'm looking for the Posen area, around 1800, and possibly well thru the 1800's, I'm not sure. Rich family I understand, whose wealth probably disappeared with the fall of the Prussian Empire about 1875. Fiedler is the name- Henry Fiedler, born sometime around or before 1800 is the family I am looking for. And any info…See More

Fiedler --- Henry Fiedler of Posen Prussia. Died early 1800's most likely in Prussia.. Son went to England. Family made carpet bags, sold internationally. Sound familiar?
