For what reason did you start genealogy research?
I became interested as I have also enjoyed history in general as a child. A relative traced my mothers side and I was curious to trace my fathers side of the family. I would also like to travel to the countries where my ancestors once lived.

Lesley Ann, have you tried a connection of the Egan I think it was Joseph Egan , there was some family connection to Jackson surname family in Dublin. might be later years than your looking , Good Luck.
