Hi Lesley! My husband's family comes from the Johnston County side of the family. His line is as follows: William McLamb and Spicy Joiner, their son William McLamb and Phoebe Tart, their son Thomas McLamb and Jane Barefoot, their son John William McLamb and Martha Emily Tart, their son Handy McLamb and Phebe Young, their son Allmond McLamb and Vara Winterford Turnage, their son Gardner and Mable Lorena Pierson, who had 8 children and lived mostly in Delaware. I have overheard whispers that there were a couple of disagreements that lead to the separation of the McLamb Family between North Carolina and South Carolina, and again between Sampson and Johnston Counties.
