- I recently saw this site and like you am hoping to find my Hale ancestors. I am a descendant of James Hale and his first wife thru their daughter Martha Ann Hale. I have been unable to find the parents of James. According to what he told the Mormon church, he, along with 2 brothers, were orphaned at a young age and raised in foster homes. Other than his father's name, he was so young that he didn't have any more info. I have a story from another descendant about him and the Clement family along with his picture. You may already have this. Have you been able to find any further information about him? He said he was an orphan but maybe his father left the family instead?
