Anyway, Matilda Pilcher married William Halbert, who inherited plantation land and slaves (HORRIFIC!!) in VA but sold it and supposedly freed slaves and moved to Athens Co, OH. The Halberts, Pilchers and Beans made the journey together. IDK if…
