For what reason did you start genealogy research?

To learn more and verify my family information. I have also been doing research for others and find it fascinating. I have done a lot of research in the South and am familiar with using court records (probate and estate), land records, as well as census records, and subscribe to several on-line websites. I live an hour from the Family History Library and try to get there several times/year. I have also attended several conferences and the Salt Lake Institute for 4 years.
