The Southern California Genealogy Jamboree, sponsored by the Southern California Genealogical Society, is one of the largest genealogical events in the United States. In its 41st year, Jamboree will be held June 11-13, 2010 in Burbank, California.

The Southern California Genealogical Society headquarters in Burbank, California, houses a library with over 35,000 books, magazines, maps, CDs, periodicals and family histories. SCGS sponsors the annual Genealogy Jamboree.

Cornelise Antonissen Van Slyke settled in 1634 at Beverwyck and Schenectady. He married a French-Mohawk woman (Ots-Toch). Cornelise's nephew Willem Pieterse Van Slyke arrived in 1660 and settled in Albany and then Kinderhook.
