- And now I must add an apology. I got my ancestors mixed up. I reread your note and checked the ARANT ancestors. I have a Clara Maud Boothby Arant but she was born in OR in the late 1800s. I checked the rest of the list and found a William Arant, born 1757 in North Carolina. His parents were Conrod and Elizabeth Arrant and they were in South Carolina. Does that help? Sorry for the terse comment earlier. I'm in the midst of a family emergency/crisis here and not hitting on all eight. Nancy

- Good evening. I checked my Canaday connections but don't find a Maud listed among them. The earliest I have is Emmanual Canaday in the last 1700s but I don't have a location for him. Sorry.
