- For what reason did you start genealogy research?
- I began looking for information about previous generations of my family because I was curious about their experiences during times that I only knew as historical eras. I think everyone alive today has a personal investment in history as a tool for understanding current affairs. I believe the personal perspective on history which can be gained from studying the lives of people who lived in the past will benefit those alive presently as much if not more than the high-level view we experience in school.
