We, OFHS, purchased the films for the 1851 census and have had them scanned, and the images trimmed to remove the black borders.
I confess that already I have just posed this question to the excellent Oxfordshire FHS, but why has neither an index nor enumerators’ books for the 1851 Census been produced on CD?Have other members of this group felt this to be an unfortunate omission which, if rectified, would benefit their researches?
