Aimee, if you give me your email address then I will send you an invite to look at the tree on Ancestry.co.uk. Basically I have some newspaper cuttings from Norfolk dating back to the early 1800's! I think that the Norfolk branch must be tied into the Wirral branch and tied into our Holtaways. Its far too unusual for it to be a coincidence!

Great to hear from you! My husbands grandmother was a Holtaway, from London.
I have been researching them for a while and I think I have traced his line back to Norwich. I know there were some Holtaway's up north somewhere, but didn't know where. What have you discovered?
