Richard M. Hunter

This scanned photograph is of Richard Martin Hunter, born 18 Aug. 1857 in Daviess C., IN, the son of John Hunter III and Sarah Jane McCracken. On 5 Nov. 1885, he married Sarah Ellen Berkshire, daughter of George Berkshire.

Shortly after they married, they moved to St. Louis, MO, and Richard joined the St. Louis City Police Department. He was serving as a desk sergeant at the time of his death on 30 Oct. 1915.

Richard was my great-grandfather.
