My Confederate Ancestor -- Thomas H. Hightower, CSA

The Great-Greatgrandparents of Eddie Hightower of Branchville, S.C. They were Thomas H. Hightower and his wife Lucretia Morning Rhoden Hightower of the old Barnwell District of South Carolina.
The area of the old Barnwell District where they were born and raised, eventually became present day Bamberg County.
Both Morning and Thomas are buried in the Ghents Branch Baptist Church's Cemetery near Denmark, Bamberg County, South Carolina.
Thomas served the CSA in South Carolina's 5th Cavalry, Company I, Army of Northern Virginia. He returned home after the war to live and work peacably amoungst his kinfolks and townfolks...
