This came from an Ancestry.com Family Tree of a distant cousin. This is actually the brother of my Great-great-grandfather. If you colored the picture and added a few pounds to this gentleman, you would have a good idea of what my dad looks like now.

this is actually from my tree. this is my great grandfather. My grandfather (Henry Grady McElwee) was his son.
Do you know your great grandfather's name?

My ancestor was Eugene, the one just older than James Lafayette. He died in 1883 because he got in to a political argument with the Amite County Sheriff. He ended up stabbing the Sheriff in the back and then getting shot by the crowd afterwards. Needless to say, Eugene's family moved shortly thereafter. They ended up in Texas, Oregon and then Montana. Now our family is in Texas, Arizona, Missouri, Alaska, Montana, and Alberta, Canada.
