Coming Home to Ireland

They say one cannot go home again but I'm not certain that is true. The truth is Grandpa, Grandma, and Mother & Daddy seemed to live again as I touched dear Eire and added vivid green to the sepia toned memories of my childhood. Voices, ruddy skin tones, opinions and laughter were all so familiar. It seemed as though my loved ones breathed again for 8 glorious days. Perhaps it is true that one cannot go home again, but then it is also true that those who were loved never die completely. As long as the rains fall and the waves smash the rocky shores, their memories live on in misty green and sunlit glen.
