Thomas family
I am looking for information on my granduncle Frederick H. Thomas. He was the brother of my grandmother, Mary Myrtle Thomas Elder. They are from Mole Hill in Ritchie County. He and another brother, Walter H., were in WWI. He came out of that war as a 2nd Lt. He was born in September 1888 to William D. and Etta May Gorrell Thomas. His parents died by the time he was 10 and all five of the kids were farmed out to relatives and others. He lived for a while in Ft. Meade, SD, and married Minnie E. I would appreciate any info you may have. Thank you.

I research a Thomas line from Stafford County, VA. Ann Thomas, born 12 Dec 1732, St. Paul's Parrish, Stafford C., VA married Thomas Clifton, born 20 April 1734, Stafford County, VA. Their child John Clifton is my husand's great great greatgrandfather.

Hello, Kathy Clifton: Thank you for replying. The Thomas lline that I come from lived in Ritchie County, WV, which, I believe, was Ritchie County, VA, before the war. Ritchie may be formed from other counties; I'm not sure. Anyway, I doubt that they ever got to VA. The Clifton name was never mentioned as part of the Thomas line that I come from. But I do appreciate the attempt you made to pull us together. Thank you.
