As previously stated, I am considering the John FLOYD who moved back to Monongalia County in 1840 a strong candidate to be a sibling of Michael and Henry.

In addition, we have an Andrew FLOYD appearing in Monongalia County for a short while coming by way of Kentucky. He had two daughters born there and they both were married in Monongalia County. Margaret married Daniel MICHAEL on 9 SEP 1819 with Andrew as bondsman. Elizabeth married John KING with our Michael FLOYD serving as bondsman. Admittedly this is pretty thin evidence that Andrew was a sibling, but it seems a bit more than a casual coincidence that Michael was posting bond for someone only recently arrived from Kentucky unless there was a connection.

Thomas FLOYD appears Monongalia County for awhile and clearly knew Michael and Henry. All three signed several court petitions together. One dated 7 DEC 1810 is a petition to appoint David MUSGRAVE as constable “for want of another in our part of the district”. Many sources state this Thomas was born in Berkeley County about 1775. With the 25 year span between the birth of Henry and Thomas, it is also possible Thomas is a nephew. John was born in 1747. Could Thomas be his son?
