Vaughn Family

Hi, my name is Elizabeth Vaughn, I was born and raised in Jefferson county MO. 

my brick wall is with my ggg-grandfather Johnson Vaughn. According to his son and my gggrandfather

James Edward Vaughns' death certificate his father was born in Virginia. But his brother Robert Harrison Vaughns' Death Certificate his father was born in North Carolina. Now they both had Rachel Strickland as their Mother. I know she was born in St.Louis county Missouri. and she passed away in 1899. That is all I know. But I believe he was married before Rachel. Can anyone help. and thank you
