Read a little of your activity on your research. Vandecar looks like American spelling of the name. on geneanet.org you have 9 researchers on "Vandecar", 2 on "Vandekar", 3 on "Vandercarre", 1 on "Vander Carre", 6 on "Van der Karre", 1 on "Van der Carre", 4 on "Van de Karre", 1 "Van de Carr", 5 on "Van de Car", (30+) on "Van der Kar", 1 on "Vander Kar", but the most searching for "Van de Kar".
Also another variant may be Quarre.

Kar/Car could be short for Carre/Karre. There was "Carre ou Quarre" on geneanet and also recorded in the Netherlands family name of Quarre! But right not go with Car/Kar until it changes.

In discussion Forum I will post recorded dutch arms for related family name for future researchers of "Vandecar"
