I am looking for evidence in relation to the parentage of Travis Stone (b. 1819 in Georgia; d. 1874 in Mississippi).

Travis' Wife

Travis married Permelia Lang (b.1820 in Edgefield, South Carolina, d. after 1880 in Kemper County, Mississippi) on 1 Dec 1836 in Perry County, Alabama.

Travis' Father

Travis' father is commonly shown in people's trees as Nathaniel 'Nathan' Stone (b.1790 in Stewart, Newton County, Georgia, d. bef. 1850, possibly 1840)

I have yet to find evidence to either confirm or refute this.

Travis' Mother

A lot of family trees show Travis' Mother as being Mary Susannah Wallace (b. abt. 1796 / 1800 in Milledgeville, Baldwin County, Georgia, d. aft. 1870 in Alabama).

I have yet to find evidence to confirm this.  There is some evidence that her name may have been Sarah Mary ... William Riley Stone (Travis' brother) is living with an elderly relative Sarah Stone b. abt. 1796 in the 1870 census and an elderly relative, Mary Stone b. abt 1800 in the 1850 census.

Travis' Siblings

Henry Alford Stone, Selina 'Sebrina' 'Sarah' Stone, Susan Ellen Stone, William 'Billy Riley Stone

Question:

Does anyone here have an interest in Stone family member from Georgia and/or Alabama in general and/or, more specifically, in Travis Stone and/or his siblings in particular ...  and/or have any information that may shed some light on the parentage of Travis Stone and his siblings?

Thanks

Jane Chapman
