Information on or members of

I have been searching for information on the family and working on a tree, as I have had time for the past 45 years. I would like to hear from anyone who has information on the family. As near as anyone I have been in contact with the family started with Jan Jansen Van Amersfoort and was changed to Van Steenbergen. There has been a variety of changes over the years to Van Steinburgh with some currenty using the name without the h at the end to my line which dropped the h and the Van.

The biggest stone wall that some of us have had is with the document verification of William Van Steinburg born about 1814 in Winchester Ontario and verifying his parents. Most have accepted Thomas Van Steinburg and Mary Polly Shirley. I would love to hear from anyone who could verify this, or otherwise. I am also open to anyone who may have other info as to history or general discussion on the line. I know it has touched on many other lines by marriage over the years.
