Hi,
My Great Grandfather came from Greenock to Australia in 1850's.
His father was born in Greenock in 1783 and he died before 1841 as his wife was a widow in the census.
We are yet to find where he is buried, anyone have any suggestion how we might find out. His name was James Davie.

Anita... could you look up David McGowan in Greenock... there are 6 people buried in the same plot, but I dont know who.
If there's nothing... no worries ...
Thank you :)
Hi Nora,
I don't have a list of who is buried where, but some where I do have books that might have some info. We have just moved house so not sure I can lay my hands on them straight away but will make a note and see what I can find for you. We live in Australia so not close enough to go and look. Other wise I'd be right there :). Anita
Anita you said your relative died in Alexandria-that is located across the water from Greenock & would come under Dumbarton for registration purposes.
