I live in the Platte River Valley in Nebraska. My house is actually between the Oregon Trail and Mormon Trail, closer to the Oregon Trail that traditionally followed the South Platte River on the south side. This is a fascinating area to reflect upon. People generally migrated through here for a variety of reason such as exploration, adventure, religious motives, to gain land, start a new life, to just name a few.
