I'm seeking information on the slaves of Agnes Moseby LaForce. They were captured in a raid on Martin's Station, KY, 24 June 1780, led by Capt. Henry Bird. The raiding party consisted of Shawnee Indians and British Loyalist Alexander McKee and the Girty brothers among others.

Among the slaves captured and brought to Canada were Candis, Hannah & Betty, my 5th, 6th & 7th great-grandmothers. Attached is the full listing of slaves and their disposition, all children and/or grandchildren of Betty. Also attached is an interview of Rachel taken by Lyman C. Draper of The Draper Manuscripts.

Candis, who was taken by Alexander McKee and later had a daughter, Rachel, born in BlueJacket's Town near current Bellefontaine, Logan Co., OH, who was brought up in the McKee household. Rachel later marries a man named Francis Reyno or Reno and they migrate to Champaign County, OH ca 1805-1810. I have many documents relating to Rachel & Frank Reno after they settle in Ohio, but am missing information on their lives in Canada.

I would like any information or leads in searching the former slaves of Agnes Moseby LaForce in and around the areas of Sandwich and Malden, Ontario, Canada from the 1780's foreward.

Thanks in advance for any information provided.
