Stuck on George Cornelius Wood's parents
My GGGGrandpa was George Cornelius Wood. His parents were George Wood and Mary Wardell. Apparently they died when George C. was a young child and George went to live with his Grandfather, Eliakim Wardell.
I am curious as to what happened to George and Mary. And to learn more about Eliakim.
Any help would be great!

I did a little searching and found Elikim on the census records, do you need the records? Have you tried contacting Dutchess County Libraries or Historical Societies that may have early obituaries or family biographies? -

I have the census records. I have not contacted the Libraries or historical society yet. That was in my master plan. :)
