This fellow is tough to find. The information I have on him is thus:

b. 3 NOV 1884, Connecticut - date WWI draft registration card, place 1920 Census
Marriage bef 12 SEP 1918 to Emma Carolins Bachman - WWI draft card
Residence 1918, Aberdeen, Grays Harbor, Washington - WWI draft card
Daughter born 18 APR 1919 - daughter: Theresa May Russell
Residence 1920, Elma, Garys Harbor, Washington - 1920 census
Divorce 6 MAY 1922 - Personal papers of Emma Carolina Bachman

Other than that all I know is that both his parents immigrated from Ireland according to the 1920 Census. It is frustrating not to be able to find the basic information on someone that died less than 90 years ago. Does anyone have any ideas for me?

Have you contacted the local library to see if you can get a copy of his obituary? It may list family members. If it lists a funeral home contact them, they have records of parents and siblings. Do you have a copy of the marriage application to Emma Bachman? Some states list parents and personal data. I am not referring to the license, try contacting the courthouse where he was married. Did he have a social security number? Required after 1938, if so and you may check to see what you need for a copy. What about service records? You mention WWI draft, he may have military records. Church records may also exist, birth baptistmal etc. These would be my suggestions
Well, I have no idea when or where he died, and Richard Russell is not an uncommon name, so an obituary might be a little tough. Also I don't know when they were married, but I believe they were married in Grays Harbor Co., Washington, possibly in a catholic church, my Great grandmother, Emma, was cathiolic, I am figuring it was not much before his draft registration being as she was only 17 at the time. As far as I know he only registered with selective service for the draft in September 1918. But I will keep looking.
