Hello, the family members I have been researching in MO were found in Daviess County beginning around 1880. Before that they were in Ohio.
My g grandfather was Robert William HANSHER his first wife was Lucinda (MONGOLD) together they had 10 children only 2 of their children married folks from the area. Mirtie Ellen married James Spencer DRAPER in 1895. They moved on to Iowa (after divorcing DRAPER she married Elmer FULHAGE). Arzilla Ann married Merton HARRELL in 1904. They had 4 children: Wilma, Wanda, Ruth and Joseph. Arzilla and Merton stayed in MO, in 1930 they were in Pettis, Platte, MO. The names of the other siblings were: Robert R., Otha E., Ernest F., Ault R., these 4 siblings ended up in Iowa. Leona ended up in Kansas married to Charles W MAGEE then Roy WOOD, James R., was in Washington D.C., Letha V was in Kansas for a while and married Claud C. MAGEE (ca 1917) then after a divorce she was off to parts unknown it is thought that she married W.V. DEMOSS, Tinsa was on the 1900 census and then disappeared.
After Lucinda MONGOLD died Robert HANSHER married Rosa (KETCHAM) BROWN (1907) after their young daughter Irena died (1910). Rosa and Robert were divorced and Rosa married Charles R. BROWN (1927).
I have been researching this family for 10+ years. My original goal remains the same; to find living members of the HANSHER family. So far I have found one lovely lady in TN who is the Grandchild of Robert R.
