Looking for Mary McEvoy in New Jersey.
Mary McEvoy was born in New Jersey in May of 1864 and got married around age 16 (abt 1880), according to her 1900 census record from North Bergen, Hudson, New Jersey.
She was my great-grandmother and the man she married (most likely in NJ) was my great-grandfather, George Thornton Metcalfe (b.abt 1858, England; d.1918.) Mary and George had three children: Alfred Metcalfe in 1882, William Thornton Metcalfe in 1886 and Isabelle Metcalfe in 1890.
Mary died sometime between 1900 and 1910.
That's all I know at this point. Until I found the 1900 census record, I really only knew her name. If anyone has any information on Mary, her parents, any siblings, etc - I would greatly appreciate the help. Also, I'm happy to share what I know about her husband and children with anyone who's looking.
