Join Us in Charleston Feb 13 for African American Genealogy Seminar with Wevonneda Minis

Hello Everyone,

      If you are in or around Charleston, we would like to invite you to join us Saturday, February 13 from 2pm - 4pm at Magnolia Plantation and Gardens in Charleston when Wevonneda Minis, author of Kinship, the genealogy column of the Charleston Post and Courier and creator of GullahRoots.com will present "Branching Out: Birth, Marriage, Death and Related Records."

     In this seminar Wevonneda Minis will examine specific records and what they can reveal in a search for African American ancestors. Please join us, we would love to meet our group members!

Thank you for posting this Toni. Everyone should take some time to visit Ms. Minis' website. Her work is inspirational. I am not able to attend this event but will be with the participants in spirit!

Would love to come but I won't be visiting SC til March of this year-I will be visiting the archives in Columbia and the Lancaster Library and some cemetaries when I am there any other suggestions? My fmaily stems mostly from lancaster, and lexington.
