Merging Files
A family member sent me her side of the family tree in PAF and I would like to add it to the rest of the family tree that I am working on in Legacy. I know that I will need to import the PAF file to Legacy but how do I combine to two files into one?

Thanks Brian. How will doing this affect the RIN numbers? I'm not going to end up with two # 1 persons am I?

I have a similar but maybe easier version of this problem. I started three separate files for three branches of the
family. Now I would like to put them together so I don't have to keep going back and forth between them to
enter data. In some cases I may have already entered the same persons on two of them. They are all in the
normal Legacy data folder. How do I "Merge" them? The book on Merging seems to assume the two lists to
be compared are already in one file. What happens to the RIN numbers? etc like Ruby wonders -
