I have two marriages for one man. One occurred in 1828 and after the death of this wife the second marriage occurred in 1840.

Every time I do either a chart report or a multiple descendant report the second marriage is always listed first.

The second marriage was entered first simply because I didn't know about the first marriage.

If I start with the female line for both everything is OK but I would much prefer to start the reports with the male line.

How do I correct this problem ?

You need to change the order of the marriages. Click the marriages button on the husband and use the arrows on the bottom right to move the first wife to the top.
You can rearrange the order of the marriages for a given person. If you're in the family view tab, on the man's side of the screen, in the little icons under his information, click the left-most one for spouses (it will be an icon of a woman). That will pull up a screen with the wives of the man. On the bottom right of that popup, there are "order" buttons where you can move the wife up or down in the list to get them in the proper order.
If you click on the lower left corner of the window for your man, where the icon for the spouses are, this should bring up a list of spouses. Go to the right side of the list, and click on "sort". This will put the marriages in chronological order. This should do it.
Thank you Greg, Michelle and Cindy. I thought it would be something as simple as that but everything I tried never seemed to work. I knew about sorting children from first to last born but never thought to do the same with marriages.

Thanks again.
